GOLF: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BEAT EUROPE 17-11 TO REGAIN THE TITLE AFTER 8 YEARS

United States Ryder Cup team were dominant in the singles final-day game at Hazeltine and won 17-11...this is the biggest margin since 1981...The last time USA won the Ryder Cup was 2008...

Europe was trailing 9.5-6.5 in the 1st two days of competition and things changed as epic battles were fought by Patrick Reed versus Roy McIlroy and Ryan Moore versus Lee Westwood...

Davis Love is one happy man as he was the captain 4 years ago at Medinah when US lost despite being ahead 10-4 on the second day...

Reed
Apart from the crowd being alike a football game crowd the battle between Reed and McIlroy was very intense as they both engaged with the rather unusual crowd chants...

Action was also at the 8th when McIlroy sunk a 60 foot birdie and Reed followed with a  25 foot birdie...Another cool battle was between Phil Mickleson and Sergio Garcia and the Spaniard managed to claim the half.
