GHANA: FRED OSAM DUODU HAS DIED


Former Ghana national team coach Fred Osam Duodu has passed away after a short illness...He was 78 years old...Duodu led the Black Stars to the 1978 African Cup of Nations title...He also took the U-20 team to victory in continental title and runners-up spot in the World Youth Championship 1993...Osam Duodu was also coach of Gambia when they won African U-17 Championship in 2005...He coached Ghana for the last time in 2002...He acted as Ghana's Football Association technical director and General Secretary as well as being an instructor for FIFA and Confederation of African Football...Rest in peace coach.
