F1: LEWIS HAMILTON'S CAR GOES UP IN FLAMES AS RICCIARDO WINS THE MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX
Lewis Hamilton's hope for another world title went up in flames as his car caught fire as he was leading in the Malaysian GP...He dominated the practice sessions and qualifying sessions as well as the main race...At lap 43 his engine failed and caught fire prompting him to say over the radio "Oh, no, no."...
It was victory for Red Bull 1,2 as Max Verstappen took 2nd position and Nico Rosberg took 3rd...Nico extends his championship lead by 23 points as Lewis's hopes are fading....Only 125 points are up for the taking with 5 races to go...
Hamilton was visibly upset and asked a simple question to Mercedes, "We have so many engines made, but mine are the only ones failing."...Mercedes said that they did not get any warning...Daniel Ricciardo dedicated his Malaysian GP win to the late Jules Bianchi who passed away exactly two years ago during a crash at the Japanese GP.
