WORLD WORLD RECORD COACH AND FOMER COACH OF TANZANIA RUDI GUTENDORF DIES AT AGE 93


Rudi Gutendorf, who holds the Guinness World Record for coaching 55 teams across 5 continents has passe away at age 93...
His first management career started with Blue Star Zurich in Switzerland in the 1950's and his final managerial role was in 2003 with Samoa. 

He has coached top flight teams in his native Germany as well as 19 national sides. In Africa he managed Botswana, Tanzania, Sao Tome e Principe, Ghana, Mauritius, Zimbabwe and Rwanda. 


Gutendorf was the first foreign manager to win the Japanese League with Yomiuri Sports Club in 1984. 

He coached Rwanda in 1999-2000 as Rwanda was recovering from a terrible genocide. 



German FA Vice President, Dr. Rainer Koch,  said he was an "outstanding ambassador of German football. 

"We loose in him someone who has enriched us through his big heart and positivity everyday," said his family.
