Fernando Ricksen has died at 43 aftter battling moto neurone disease...
The Netherlands International had a career spanning 19 years with 12 caps.
Most of his accolades came when he was with Ibrox.
The news of his death came from his former club Rangers.
He was diagnosed with moto neurone disease in 2013 and ever since then he became an ambassador for the awareness of the disease.
In 2015 he raised money to help the cause with Rangers.
A statement from Rangers read: "Rangers is deeply saddened to announce that former player Fernando Ricksen passed away this morning following his battle with motor neuron disease.
"Fernando spent six trophy-laden seasons at Ibrox having initially joined a number of other Dutch players under Dick Advocaat in the summer of 2000.
"A member of the Rangers Hall of Fame, he also won 12 caps for his native Holland. The thoughts of everyone at Rangers is today with jis wife Veronika, his daughter Isabella and all his family and friends."
