TRACK & FIELD: CHRISTIAN COLEMAN CANNOT BE FACE OF ATHLETICS SAYS US LEGEND MICHAEL JOHNSON

USA Track & Field legend Michael Johnson has come out lashing at Christian Coleman saying that the 23 year-old fastest man this year cannot be the face of Athletics...

Johnson talking to the BBC said, "It completely disqualifies him, at this point, from ever being that face of the sport. This will follow him as it should."

"I think this is an incredibly important issue around the sport because Christian Coleman was being taunted to replace Usain Bolt as the big star of the sport.

"I don't think that will happen now as a result of this. I think that fans of athletics don't have any tolerance at this point of any sort of doping infraction."

Coleman was suspended by US-Anti Doping Agency (Usada) for missing 3 doping tests in a 12 month period but the ban was overturned by the guidance of the world Anti-Doping Agency (Wada).

Coleman clocked 9.81 in the 100m race making him the fastest man this year.
