Amunike was let go by TFF for failure to reach the knockout stage of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
"I have contacted FIFA on that matter," he said when talking to completesports.com in Spain where he has his base.
"Its not something we should be making noise about, but hopefully FIFA will look into and decide if it is proper for one not to be paid after work."
TFF has responded through their information officer Clifford Ndimbo who said that they will issue a statement clarifying the matter
