NBA: LA LAKERS FINED $500,000 FOR PAUL GEORGE TAMPERING


LA Lakers have been fine $500,000 by the NBA for tampering in Paul George's affairs...
The fine is the largest-ever of it's kind...

The issue is about Lakers tampering into communications about Paul George moving back to LA after he becomes a free agent next year...

Teams are not allowed to discuss players who are still into contractual obligations with other teams...

The NBA's statement said "The conduct at issue involved communications by Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka with the agent representing Paul George that constitutes a prohibited expression of interest in a player while he was under contract
