BBC: RIYADH MAHREZ WINS BBC PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Riyad Mahrez has won the BBC Player of the Year Award 2016...Fans from allover the Globe voted for the Algerian international who plays midfield for Leicester City Football Club...He beat Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew, Sadio Mane and Yaya Toure..."It means a lot, It's something big for African players so I'm very happy, I'm very proud" he told BBC Sport...He also thanked his fans who voted for him and dedicated the Award to his Algerian fans and his family...He helped Leicester win the Premier League for the 1st time with 17 goals and 11 assists...He also helped his team qualify for the African Cup of Nations with scoring 2 goals and 5 assists...Claudio Ranieri, Leicester City manager, was there to witness Mahrez being awarded the trophy.
