BOB ARUM: ARUM CELEBRATES HIS 2,000TH BOXING PROMOTION

Boxing promoter and CEO of Top Ranks, Bob Arum, has for over 50 years recruited some of the finest boxers ever to grace the ring...Mohammed Ali, George Foreman, Manny Pacquiao, Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard to name a few...Arum said "promoting Ali as my first fighter helped me tremendously because it was such a fight"...

"It was a fight with a draft situation. It was a fight with the public. It was a fight with the American Legion. It was a fight for everybody that was, in my mind, prosecuting Ali."...He started at age 34 with a Harvard degree and law profession and his 1st promotion was Muhammad Ali vs. George Chuvalo in 1966 in Toronto...

"I think it was the schooling I got from that first Ali fight in Toronto and all of the politics and stuff I had to go through to get that fight on, that really made me the promoter and the person that I am today" said the 84 year old Arum...

The Top Rank Boxing founder will celebrate his 2,000 promotional fight whereby Vasyl Lomanchenko will defend his World Boxing Organisation junior lightweight tittle against Nicholas Walters...The top most favorite Bob Arum promotions are;
