La Liga star & Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo was on fire but he hit the headlined for another reason, he suffered a bloody injury...
The injury was due to a boot to the head from Deportivo Lacuruna's Fabian Schar.
It was assessed as a very serious injury so he was not allowed back. Real Madrid won 7-1 with Cristiano Ronaldo having 2 goals.
The injury was not even the topic of discussion but when he took the doctors phone to check the extent of his injury in the "mirror" that's where news media outlets went buzzing.
BBC Sports reporter through a jab at the star saying "Ronaldo staring himself at the mirror even while he's on the pitch.
" Reuters also took a swipe at the star after the match saying "Ronaldo took his obsession with his image to new heights.
"It was a frenzy of jokes being thrown at Ronaldo but he also hit back saying "People are envious of me."
"I don't have any other explanation."
Well at least the "Man in the mirror" took all the jokes in stride.
