Alex Iwobi scored the only goal of the day agaist Zambia that takes Nigeria to the World Cup in Russia next year...
Nigeria became the 1st African team to qualify to the World Cup after struggling to beat a strong Zambian team.
Nigeria now has 13 points in Group B dubbed "The Group of Death" with Zambia a distant 2nd with 7 points followed by Cameroon with 6 points and last Algeria with 1 point.
One of the highlights of the game as an end-to-end effort by Nigeria through Wilfred Ndindi that was strongly denied goalkeeper Kennedy Mwenne with an acrobatic save.
Augustine Mulenga was denied what was a clear goal by the referee as offside at the 22nd minute mark that would have put Zambia ahead early.
This wil be Nigeria's 6th appearance at the World Cup.
