Williams which is powered by Mercedes-Benz has not finished their 2018 drive line-up.
Lance Stroll, the 18 yer old rookie has the backing of billionaire father Lawrence, is set to stay at Williams.
Williams only had one podium finish this season and it came from Lance Stroll at Azerbaijan Grand Prix when he finished 3rd.
Nico Rosberg, former Williams and champ, is assisting Robert Kubica's comeback.
Kubica has been out of action since 2011 after a rally crash that almost took out his right arm.
Massa retired end of last year but came back because Valtteri Bottas went to Mercedes to replace Nico Rosberg at Mercedes.
"Williams knows 100 percent what I can give to the team." said Massa to reporters.
"Definitely I think It would be good for the team and also for myself that we know what's going to happen before the race in Brazil.
"We'll see is this is possible but I really hope so."
