He is optimistic with the new engine changes with Renault. "Feels like home" said the former champ.
He was exploring options around F1 due to a miserable 3 seasons run with Honda.
"It was always where my heart was telling me to stay.
"Although the last few years have not been easy, we have never forgotten how to win, and I believe we can achieve that again soon.
"McLaren has the technical resource and financial strength to be able to very quickly win races and world championship in F1.
"The last three years has given us the momentum to plan and build for the future, and I'm looking forward to that journey."
His dreams to win the "triple crown" could happen under Mc Laren because his contract has an extension clause.
