Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (41-1-1 KO 34) the Mexican Champ won a title fight over Liam Smith and claimed that Gennady Golovkin also known as GGG chickened out of three offers for a fight...He stopped Liam Smith on the 9th round and making him touch the canvas 3 times for the WBO Super-welterweight title of the world...Alvarez was criticized for vacating his WBC middleweight crown in favour of returning to 154lbs but he says he was not avoiding GGG as he gave him three contract offers and he did not take them...
He respects his fellow fighters but time will surely tell...Golovkin responded through his Instagram account, saying "I didn't expect that Smith punched so hard and that Canelo would talk nonsense after the fight"...Gennady Golovkin was supposedly offered $10 million to fight Alvarez.
