ROY HALLADAY: FORMER TORONTO BLUE JAYS AND PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES PITCHER HAS PASSED AWAY IN A PLANE CRASH


Former Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay has passed away after his plane crashed in the Gulf of Mexico...Halladay was the only person on board as the plane went down. 

He was flying a small aircraft known as a "Jet Ski on wings' or ICON A5

The 40 year-old Halladay spent 12 seasons with the Blue Jays and 4 with the Phillies. 

The 2-time Cy Young award winner retired in 2013. 

The Phillies statement sad "We are numb over the tragic news of Roy Halladay's untimely death.

"There are no words to describe the sadness that the entire Phillies family is feeling over the loss of one of the most respected human beings to ever play the game."
