He suffered serous ligament damage during a Europa Leagues quarter-final tie at Old Trafford on 20 April.
"If people knew the real injury they would be in shock that I was playing." said Zlatan.
He retired into action during their 4-1 win over Newcastle.
Zlatan entered the game on the 77th minute in replacement of Anthony Martial.
