CHEIK TIOTE: THE LATE IVORY COAST STAR GETS A HEROES FAREWELL


Cheik Tiote, Ivorian international, collapsed during training in China and passed away...Tiote was given a heroes farewell by his Country as well as his former teammates and fans...
A befitting sendoff for the former Newcastle and Beijing player...

Among the players who turned up to say bye to Tiote in the capital Abidjan were Kolo Toure, Wilfred Bony and Solomon Kalou...


Members of the Ivory Coast squad were also present to bid farewell to their national star...

Papiss Cisse his former Newcastle friend was also present for the funeral...


"I lived some extraordinary moments with this man  and today he's gone." said Cisse at the memorial service...


Beijing players were also present at the funeral as they payed homage to a home grown hero...


Tiote spent almost 7 years at St. James' Park with 156 appearances before joining Beijing...
