Brett Yormack has been in control since 2005.
He joined the Nets from NASCAR.
He is stepping down after change of ownership after Mikhail Prokhotov let go of his shares to Joe Tsai including the Barclays Center.
Tsai bought the Nets with yhe Barclays Center for $3.5 billion.
Yormack was instrumental in moving the Nets from New Jersey to Brooklyn.
Nets with Tsai will start a new slate with the signing of Kevin Durant, Kyre Irving and De Andre Jordan.
