Dwight Howard will get his $5.6 million as he surrendered $2.6 million to Memphis buyout...
He can earn $2.6 on his vet (veteran) minimum deal with the Lakers if he survives on roster past early January.
The Grizzlies are more than happy because they never intended for Howard to hit the camp.
On the flip-side the risk is Howard signing a non-guarantee contract with the Lakers whereby they can waive him for any reason, pay a small fee and Howard looses out on the $2.6 million.
Howard needs to step-up and deliver on his promise.
It's comeback time for Howard who had reached 'rock bottom' and this deal will give him his 'last card' in the NBA.
