Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has confined that Ruiz Jr has signed up for the Joshua fight despite speculation that stipulates otherwise...
"Both fighters signed for this fight. The governing bodies have been informed," said Hearn.
According to Hearn the fight will takeplace in Saudi Arabia in and open air setting. The venue will be in Diriya somewhere on the outskirts of Riyadh.
With Joshua not wanting to fight in the UK Saudi Arabia has been chosen as a fair consolation after he was defeated at the Madison Square Garden on 1st of June.
A bout of this magnitude has to come with some criticism against the Saudi establishment but it is also a good way of normalizing tensions diplomatically in regards to human rights issues.
Every ticked holder will be issued a visa to visit the country.
The champ has been silent after Friday's fight announcement but his trainer Robles said there is a "reason" for that.
Speculation has it he wants a bigger cut but lets wait and see.
