MOTOGP: GRAND PRIX STAR RALF WALDMANN HAS PASSED AWAY

German 20-time grand prix motorcycle winner Ralf Waldmann has died at age 51...
He has raced the circuits since 1982 upto 2002 and also made his last comeback in 2009 in the British Grand Prix with 250cc.

In 1991-1992 seasons under the 125cc bikes he was 3rd overall in the standings.

He went single in 1998 unter Team Roberts with 500cc finishing 14th overall and best finish 7th.

Perhaps the best win of his carrier and understandably a win that went down in history for the fans and all MotoGP stakeholders was in Donington Park in 2000,  whereby he came from a lap down to take the lead at the final corner.

Recently Eurosport took him in for their MotoGP coverage.

Tributes have been flowing in and lead by star Max Biaggi.

Biaggi speaking to 'Gazzetta dello sport' said, "He was a tough fighter on track but a gentle and funny man outside the track."

"Despite our battle, never had issues with him.

"He had a big heart."

Other tributes came from Julian Ryder, Jorge Lorenzo, Toby Moody and many many more.

RIP Waldi.
