Fèrarri boss Mattia Binotto has admitted that they messed up on Charles Leclerc's pit stop strategy at the Mexican Grand Prix...
After leading the race for 14 laps Leclerc pitted early and with medium tyres on he had to pit again after about 30 laps later.
"That stage of the race was too early," Binotto told Sky Sports F1.
"Looking at our data from [Saturday] we didn't consider the one-stop; looking now, that wasn't the right choice. I think what we did was right but you look at it now at the end of the race from a different perspective"
Leclerc admits he should have played a part but blames the team for not being decisive during crucial moments of the race.
"I should have come on the radio and asked for something, and been more decisive in the decision to try and help the team make the right decision on my side, which Seb did.
"I need to learn from that, and hopefully it will come in time."
