REPORT: FBI STOPPED VIOLENT TERRORIST PLOT AIMED AT UFC WHITE HOUSE, DONALD TRUMP RESPONDS

UFC White House might have avoided more than just a little bad weather.

On Tuesday, Fox News reported that FBI officials disrupted an alleged terrorist plot that involved explosive drones and snipers with the target being attendees of this past Sunday’s UFC event, which took place on the South Lawn of the White House, with President Donald Trump and numerous officials and VIPs watching, as well as at the nearby Ellipse Park, where nearly 80,000 fans were expected to be in attendance.

According to the report, the alleged plot would have seen explosive-laden drones strike buildings at the event with the intention to force an emergency evacuation. People would then be steered towards an area where they could be shot at by snipers. A “second wave” would then directly attack the White House gates.

UFC White House took place June 14, and the potential threat was reportedly first discovered by the FBI on June 10, with the alleged suspects gathering for final preparations in Fredericksburg, Va. One suspect was taken into custody in Cincinnati and, as of Monday, five suspects are in custody with investigators identifying 23 people as being involved in the plot.

“In the days leading up to this weekend, our special agents, mission support personnel, and technical security teams worked around the clock to identify those responsible and hold them accountable,” Secret Service Director Sean Curran said in a statement to Fox News. “Equally important to our protective mission is ensuring accountability through the justice system. To that end, our formal comments regarding the specifics of this case will be made through court filings.”

Ahead of Sunday’s event, which was first announced in June 2025, much of the talk revolved around how UFC CEO Dana White and his team would deal with the numerous logistical issues involved with putting on a show at the White House, with security being a chief concern. Weather was also a major topic of discussion, though the event proceeded with only a delay to the start time despite inclement weather in the surrounding areas.

FBI Director Kash Patel praised his team for preventing the alleged plot.

“While the result represented the best of investigative work, it was also nothing out of the ordinary for this law enforcement team,” Patel said. “We are built to detect, respond to, and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens—particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC [Freedom] 250 fight. That’s exactly what we did here.”

At the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains, France, on Tuesday, Trump was asked about the FBI stopping the alleged plot and he replied that he wasn’t aware.

“I haven’t heard about it,” Trump said. “The attack that I watched were the fighters. … They were as good a fights as I’ve ever seen, the best. That last fight was brutal and the two last—all of the fights were good. It was all good, it was a great evening, it was very different for the White House.”

In the main event of Sunday’s card, Justin Gaethje scored a dramatic fourth-round knockout over Ilia Topuria to unify the UFC lightweight titles, while Ciryl Gane became interim heavyweight champion a second time with a knockout over former two-division champion Alex Pereira.

CHAUNCEY BILLUPS ARRESTED IN MAFIA LINKED BETTING PROBE: WHERE IT RANKS AMONG GREATEST SPORTS SCANDALS

In what could turn out to be one of the biggest scandals in sports history, Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups has reportedly been arrested in relation to a federal sports betting probe.

Early on Thursday morning, reports emerged that Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier was picked up by federal officials regarding his involvement in illegal sports betting on NBA games. The investigation has been going on since the summer, and Detroit Pistons guard Malik Beasley was linked to the inquiry until authorities revealed he was no longer part of the investigation.

However, soon after the news about Rozier’s arrest came a bombshell. Current Trail Blazers head coach Chauncy Billups has also been arrested over allegations of illegal bets on NBA games. Interestingly enough, ABC News is reporting that his arrest is connected with a separate FBI investigation, and this one actually has worrisome links to the mafia.

That is the only information that has been leaked regarding his arrest. However, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, and FBI Director Kash Patel are scheduled to hold a press conference to unveil further information on the case.

The five-time NBA All-Star and one-time champion is obviously innocent until proven guilty. However, if a court does find wrongdoing, it will be one of the biggest sports scandals of all time. But where does it rank among the most egregious in sports history?

Where does Chauncey Billups’ arrest rank among the greatest sports scandals?

Obviously, the worst of the worst is the 1919 “Black Sox” scandal when eight Chicago White Sox players purposely threw games during that year’s World Series. Pete Rose is the greatest pure hitter in MLB history, but he was banned for life — until this year — after it was found he had bet on games he was involved in as manager of the Cincinnati Reds.

After winning shockingly winning the 2006 Tour de France, former Lance Armstrong teammate Floyd Landis was found to have been doping his way to the championship. In hindsight, it wasn’t too surprising since Armstrong also doped himself into becoming a cycling legend.

Arguably, the worst in NBA history was when a federal investigation found that veteran referee Tim Donaghy used his influence on games to alter scores for illegal sports betting purposes.

Pro athletes being involved in illegal betting is only shocking because they don’t need to, since the majority of them are millionaires. While Donaghy’s offenses were stunning, it does make sense because referees aren’t wealthy, and they can have such a huge but hard-to-notice influence on games. Billups, who made around $100 million during his career and is paid well now, being involved really is bewildering.

More information will be revealed soon, but if the NBA coach was involved in a scenario to alter games, and it was connected to organized crime, it would be a top-five scandal in sports history.

DONALD TRUMP READY TO RELEASE 'SECRET' US FILE AFTER MAKING PROMISE ON JOE ROGAN'S PODCAST

US president Donald Trump has vowed to declassify files relating to the assassinations of John F Kennedy, Robert F Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.

Re-elected to the White House in November, Trump officially began duty as the 47th president of the United States on 20 January and one of his first promises of his second reign has been to reveal all about some of the most speculated-about events in American history.

“In the coming days, we are going to make public remaining records related to the assassinations of President John F Kennedy, his brother Robert F Kennedy, as well as Dr Martin Luther King Jr and other topics of great public interest,” Trump told the crowd in his final speech before becoming president for a second time, repeating a promise he made numerous times on the campaign trail last year, including during his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience in October.

During the first year of his initial presidential term, Trump also released a collection of documents related to President Kennedy's assassination in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.

But he ultimately backed down from plans to release more revealing documents after pressure from the CIA and FBI not to go further. A large portion of the documents were said to contain sensitive information relating to current or past government employees whose security could have been compromised by their release.

Trump discussed this episode when he was a guest on Rogan's hugely popular podcast last year.

“I opened them up partially. I was met with — from good people, I mean, you know, look at me, good people, people that were well-meaning, Mike Pompeo was one of them, he’s a good person. Uh, they called me they said ‘Sir, would rather, have you not.’ After — and I did open them, but I was asked by some people not to open them,” Trump told the UFC commentator.

But then Trump promised that – if he were to be re-elected – he'd reopen the files he was told not to release and make them public, a vow upon which he claims he will now deliver.

“It’s a cleansing, you know, it’s really a cleansing, so I’m going to do it,” he said. “I’m going to do it immediately, almost immediately, upon entering office.”
