I was at the Juve in 96 and I was at a bar next to my house and I had an appointment to meet Mr. Dreyfus who wanted to show me the brand and the boots. When I tried them, I saw that they were light and I really liked the Lazada system. Can you imagine the day you put on your first workout... It was an honor for me, because we only had 10 players and I could feel that some players were jealous, especially when they sent me the boots, because at first you had to be chosen by Adidas to wear them. The colors White, Orange, and Red... I liked them a lot. And the tongue taught you class. Sportfully, I felt lucky, I won a lot of things with them and I always identified myself playing in those boots. The Champions League was the only title he had not won, had lost two finals and it was the time, with the Madrid shirt, had come for that. It was the perfect time to achieve it. Roberto Carlos ran and put the ball in the sky and when I hit him I knew he wasn't going to go far from the goal... "Really, I think the boots helped me score that goal."

AC Milan decided not to renew Andrea Pirlo’s contract in 2011, convinced he was past his prime at the age of 32.
He would go on to join Juventus on a free transfer, where he was voted Serie A Player of the Year three consecutive times — a record that remains unmatched to this day.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible athleticism was on full display as the star footballer scored a stunning bicycle kick goal for Al Nassr against Al Khaleej in a Saudi Pro League match on Sunday at the Al Awwal Park in Riyadh.
Multiple angles of the terrific goal have emerged on social media as the videos of the 40-year-old scoring another screamer went viral. It also reignited the memories of his famous bicycle kick goal against Juventus in 2018 while playing for Real Madrid.

Coming back to the Al Nassr vs Al Khaleej match. Ronaldo’s goal was the last piece of major action in the match as Al Khaleej lost 4-1. Joao Felix opened the scoring for Al Nassr in the 39th minute before Wesley made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Murad Al-Hawsawi pulled one back for Al Khaleej in the 47th minute, but the Saihat-based club could not find any more goals.
Sadio Mane made it 3-1 for Al Nassr in the 77th minute, before Ronaldo pulled off the screamer in the dying minutes of the game. The goal came in the sixth minute of the last added time, a few minutes after Al Khaleej’s Dimitrios Kourbelis was given his marching orders.
It was a Nawaf Boushal cross from the right flank that led to Ronaldo’s goal. Alert as always, Ronaldo capitalised on the dipping cross to finish his 10th league goal of the season.
Al Nassr are currently at the top of the Saudi Pro League table with 27 points from nine matches, having won all matches so far.

MCTOMINAY BECAME THE BICYCLE KICK 'GOAT'
Cristiano’s stunning bicycle kick against Juventus in the Champions League reached 2.35 m at its highest point, and it seemed incredibly difficult for anyone to surpass it.
McTominay scored a screamer against Denmark and actually topped the ‘GOAT’, reaching 2.53 m at the moment he struck the ball.

CANADA FORWARD JONATHAN DAVID SCORES IN SERIE A DEBUT
MILAN -- Canada forward Jonathan David scored in his Serie A debut to set Juventus on the way to a 2-0 win over Parma in their season opener on Sunday.
David joined Juventus in July on a free transfer after his five-year contract at Lille expired.
Juventus ended the match with 10 men after Andrea Cambiaso was sent off seven minutes from time but substitute Dusan Vlahovic doubled the Bianconeri's lead moments later.
"It's everything I hoped for," said David, who was given a standing ovation when he was replaced by Vlahovic in the 80th minute. "It was the first game of the season and the fans brought an amazing atmosphere and you could feel them pushing us forward.
"I'm happy to score in my first game but the most important thing is the three points."
The 25-year-old David scored 25 goals and provided 12 assists in 49 matches across all competitions for Lille last season.

David is also Canada's all-time leading scorer with 36 goals in 67 appearances.
"The target is to help the team as much as I can," David said. "If it's by scoring goals, by getting assists, running back, defending, I will do everything.
Juventus struggled in the first half but was dominant after the break and broke the deadlock in the 59th minute when David got in front of his marker to prod home Kenan Yildiz's cross.
Yildiz also set up Juve's second as a rapid counterattack saw Vlahovic send him down the right and then race from the center circle into the box to tap home the return pass.
That came shortly after Cambiaso earned himself a needless red card. He had gone up together with Mathias Løvik for a high ball and then reacted by shoving the Parma player and appearing to strike him in the face with his arm.
In other matches from Serie A's opening week, Pisa, which finished second in Serie B last season, surprisingly took the lead in Bergamo in the 26th minute.
Idrissa Touré's cross from the right went through to Samuele Angori, who put it back into the area toward Henrik Meister, but Atalanta defender Isak Hien bundled it over the line instead.
Atalanta was playing its first match of the post-Gian Piero Gasperini era after the coach left for Roma following nine years in charge and was replaced by Ivan Jurić.
Jurić's halftime talk paid off as Atalanta was a team transformed after the interval. Gianluca Scamacca leveled five minutes into the second half, gathering a pass from Mario Pasalic and cutting inside his defender before firing into the far bottom corner.
It was Scamacca's first goal in more than 450 days and he almost doubled his tally in the 58th but headed off the crossbar.
Historic VAR announcement Nico Paz set up one goal and scored a stunning second as Como kicked off its Serie A season with a 2-0 win over Lazio.
Cesc Fabregas' team broke the deadlock less than two minutes into the second half when Nico Paz gathered the ball inside his own half and feinted past a Lazio player before threading an impressive through ball for Tasos Douvikas to run onto and fire past Ivan Provedel.
Nico Paz got on the scoresheet himself in the 73rd minute with a free kick into the top left corner.
Lazio had thought it had equalized 10 minutes earlier but Taty Castellanos' strike was ruled out by the video assistant referee for offside.
In a first for Italian soccer, referee Gianluca Manganiello announced the decision live to the stadium. The explanation of VAR decisions in real time has been introduced from this season in Serie A.
Elsewhere, Sebastiano Luperto scored deep in stoppage time to snatch a 1-1 draw for Cagliari at home to Fiorentina.

DINO ZOFF | GOALKEEPER QHO HAS CONCEDED LESS GOALS IN FOOTBALL HISTORY
The goalkeeper who has concededed less goals in football history is Dino Zoff! He holds an incredible record of 1,142 minutes without conceding a goal in selection, set between 1972 and 1974. This is really impressive!
Dino Zoff is considered one of the best goalkeepers of all time. He won the World Cup with Italy in 1982 and was European Champion with Juventus. He is also the oldest World Cup winner, having lifted the trophy at the age of 40 years, 4 months and 13 days 1.2.
Other goalkeepers also have impressive records, such as Peter Shilton who has played 125 games for England without conceding a goal, or Iker Casillas who has won the Champions League three times with Real Madrid. But Dino Zoff remains the least goalkeeper in football history 1-2!

MANCHESTER UNITED TARGET SPEAKS OUT ON FUTURE AHEAD OF RELEASE CLAUSE DEADLINE

Manchester United target Moise Kean has suggested his immediate future lies with Fiorentina, with Tuesday a pivotal day in his career.
The Italy international was in fine form for Fiorentina last season , scoring 19 Serie A goals and 25 in all competitions.
He joined La Viola last year after a poor run at Juventus, but his career has returned to an upward trajectory in Florence, with only Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui (25) out-scoring him in Serie A.
Unsurprisingly the 25-year-old’s form has attracted attention, with Manchester United thought to be interested in signing Kean this summer.
Interest is particularly high as a release clause in the striker’s contract with Fiorentina means he is available for a fee of €52million (£44.5m) between July 1-15.
It is hardly pocket change, but could prove to be great value in today’s transfer market.
Kean has spoken out on his future ahead of that release clause expiring on Tuesday and it sounds like he is very happy at Fiorentina and not looking to leave.
Speaking at an event to unveil manager Stefano Pioli on his return to the club, Kean said: ‘I’m very motivated to move forward. Fiorentina has given me so much and has always supported me.
‘Now it’s important to return with renewed motivation and give my best for Fiorentina.’
That is not to say that clubs will not attempt a late move for the Italian before his release clause deadline, but the player does not appear to be pushing for a move.
A return to the Premier League now looks unlikely this summer, with Kean having a forgettable spell at Everton from 2019-21.

Kean signed for Everton from Juventus in August 2019 for an initial £25.1m, before returning to the Turin club two years later.
His stint in England was underwhelming to say the least.

Manchester United continue to look for a new striker, with their pursuit of Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo continuing but dragging somewhat.
Two bids have been rejected by the Bees and a third is expected, but the player is reportedly frustrated with how long the process is taking.
The Cameroon international remains keen on the switch to Old Trafford and he is the Red Devils’ number one target, but negotiations have been slow.

MIKEL ARTETA POISED TO LOSE KEY ARSENAL ASSISTANT CARLOS CUESTA TO PARMA

Mikel Arteta is poised to lose one of his key lieutenants at Arsenal, with his 29-year-old assistant Carlos Cuesta expected to join Parma to take a first head coach’s role.
The Spaniard, regarded as one of the world’s best young coaches, flew to Italy on Wednesday to finalise his appointment. Cuesta is in line to replace Cristian Chivu, who left for Inter to take over from Simone Inzaghi, and would become the second-youngest head coach in Serie A history.
Cuesta joined Arsenal from Juventus in 2020 after starting his coaching career at Atlético Madrid in 2014 as an 18-year-old and has become one of Arteta’s closest confidantes, with a heavy focus on improving tactical understanding among individual players. Cuesta was heavily linked with Norwich last season and is understood to have attracted widespread interest from other clubs in the Championship and beyond.
He is believed to have been tempted by the challenge of being the youngest manager in Europe’s top five leagues and trying to return Parma to the top half of Serie A, the club having finished 16th last season after being promoted. Arteta said last year that he would not stand in Cuesta’s way should his assistant want to leave, although Cuesta was one of five members of Arsenal’s coaching staff who signed extensions until 2027 in April. His fellow assistant Albert Stuivenberg and the first-team coach Miguel Molina were among the others.
“If that’s the will?” Arteta said of forcing someone to stay. “You cannot do that. I wouldn’t, no. With the staff as well, everybody needs to feel there is a path, there is a development plan for everyone. People don’t want to do the same thing for three, four, five years. It is a way to incentivise and inspire other people and then to explore because you don’t really know the limit of a person unless you expose him to certain things.”
Arsenal are preparing to make their move for a striker having held talks with representatives of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyökeres and their respective clubs, RB Leipzig and Sporting. It is understood that Leipzig value Sesko at between €80m (£68.4m) and €100m and are open to allowing him to leave if they can agree a deal, but Arsenal have yet to make a formal offer for the Slovenia striker.
Gyökeres has expressed a preference to play in the Champions League for Arsenal rather than join Manchester United. The Sweden striker is thought to have been angered by Sporting’s insistence that his £85m release clause be met after talks with Arsenal’s sporting director, Andrea Berta.
Berta also held talks with representatives of the Spain forward Nico Williams in one of his first acts after he was appointed at the end of March. Arsenal are believed to have accepted defeat in pursuit of Williams, who is thought to favour a move to Barcelona.
