Michael Schumacher set the standard for dominance in the 1990s and 2000s, winning 91 races and setting records that stood for years.
Lewis Hamilton spent the following two decades chasing those numbers and eventually matching Schumacher’s seven championships, while going on to surpass him in wins, poles and podiums.
Their careers even briefly crossed in 2007, when rookie Hamilton raced against Schumacher during his comeback. What looked like a simple meeting of two generations would eventually become one of F1’s greatest statistical battles.
Different eras, different rules, different points systems. But the same level of greatness. 👑
