Bodhana Sivanandan Makes History!
11-year-old Bodhana Sivanandan (2354)🏴 has become the youngest-ever Woman Grandmaster (WGM) after earning her third and final WGM norm at the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2026 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
Bodhana achieved the required norm by drawing IM Mai Narva of Estonia, completing all three WGM norms at just 11 years old.
Her WGM journey began in 2025, when she earned her first norm at the Trophée Dole in France, aged just 10. She secured her second norm at the Dole Open in July 2026, aged 11.
Now, with her third and final norm at the Olympiad, Bodhana has made chess history as the youngest-ever player to achieve the WGM title requirements.
