MANVIR BARYAN AND DREW STURROCK INVOLVED IN HORRIFIC CRASH AT KBC MERU SAFARI RALLY


African Rally Champion Manvir Baryan along with is navigator Drew Sturrock have been involved is a very serious rally accident that occurred outside on Meru town...


Baryan was airlifted to Aga khan Hospital for further medical attention after suffering neck and bone injuries. Drew Sturrock had no visible injuries but was taken to the hospital for more observation. 

Manvir's Skoda Fabia hit a rock and overturned a couple of times rendering the car a right-off wreck. They were negotiating a bend when the accident happened.



The accident happened inside Nkunga forest in an area called Kibui just 5 kilometers from Meru town. 


It was the second leg of the KBC Meru Safari Rally.


At the time of the accident Manvir was chasing Carl "Flash" Tundo and Baldev Chager. 


All activity stopped as they waited the return of the standby helicopter.
