Seminar One: A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO DISTANCE TRAINING FROM 5KM TO BEYOND THE MARATHON:
Best For: Novice & Experience Runner, AND Coaches
Coaching talk would be open for all runners and would be in English and start on the Saturday OR Sunday at 11:00 and last 90 minutes to 2 hours:
It would cover the following:
• The principles of Distance running preparation
• Goal setting
• General physiology of training
• Nutrition and Hydration/ What to Eat and Drink/Weight control
• Mind and Body Preparation
• Injuries - Avoidance and Treatment
• Running Gear / equipment
• Running Marathon
• Running Ultra distance
• Logistics and Efficiency
Seminar 2
Day: Sunday
Time: 11:30 am
Seminar Two: EFFICIENT RUNNING STYLE, CORRECT GEARS AND INJURY PREVENTION
Best For: Novice & Experience Runner, AND Coaches
Maximum Participants: 30 restrict numbers as it is impossible to handle and give attention to very large numbers. This is for runners who want to have their balance and impact of shoes on running style and how to run correctly. This is a PRACTICAL and is done outside with a 30metre grass area and a tar area.
This seminar is purely practical and targets –
• Running efficiently
• Reducing injuries and to as improve understanding and selection of shoes and style.
