F1: LEWIS HAMILTON ON POLE FOR THE 67TH TIME AT THE BRITISH GRAND PRIX


Lewis Hamilton was victorious at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit qualifying race today after being cleared by stewards...


Ferrari's Kimi Raikonnen took 2nd place and a frustrated Sebastian Vettel was 3rd fastest...

Hamilton was under investigation for 'potentially' blocking Romain Grosjean during his Q3 quick run...

Hamilton now has started at pole position for the 67th time almost equalling the legend Michael Schumacher who has 68 pole positions...

The British Grand Prix is his 6th ple position this season...

Hamilton has matched Jim Clark's record at Silverstone with 5 pole positions....


"The support fro the fans really means a lot to me," said Hamilton.

"That energy inspires me to do laps like that. The track feels incredible and the engineers worked really hard to get the setup where we needed it. I grew up in these wet and chilly conditions so I felt like home. The final lap felt fantastic, I didn't expect to get a gap like that but that was the target."
