Bayern Munich will be without Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry following Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund, with both players picking up injuries during Der Klassiker.
According to the club’s official website, Saibari suffered a tear to the syndesmotic ligament in his right ankle and has already undergone surgery. The injury is particularly concerning, with Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) reporting that the midfielder is expected to be sidelined for at least three months.
Gnabry, meanwhile, sustained a muscular injury in his left hamstring. Bayern Munich has confirmed the diagnosis but has not yet provided a specific timeline for his return. There is also still no word on the extent of the injury that caused Michael Olise to leave the game.
It is another frustrating setback for the Bavarians, who are already dealing with several injury concerns. Losing Saibari for such an extended period is especially disappointing, while Gnabry’s absence further limits the team’s options in attack.
The timing could hardly be worse as Bayern Munich enters another demanding stretch of the season. More opportunities will now have to come from elsewhere in the squad as the coaching staff looks to navigate an increasingly difficult injury situation.
