DELAYED GAMES “DAMAGING TO THE INTEGRITY OF PREMIER LEAGUE” SAYS ARTETA

On going delays of matches due to postponement is becoming an issue with many teams as may question the reasons behind the cancellations.

Arsenal were due to play a London derby game against rivals Spurs but the game was postponed to much relief for the Gunners as Granit Xhaka received a red during a game with Liverpool and injuries piling up.

In their squad only Martin Odegaard is down with Covid as Arteta requested the postponement.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said the on going match delays are “damaging to the integrity of the Premier League”.

“We have already reached a point where postponing games is damaging to the integrity of the Premier League,”

Arsenal’s strong midfield is in question as Thomas Partey in playing for his country Ghana in the AFCON 2021 games and  Hala has let down his team again with a red card.

To bridge the midfield park the Gunners are looking to take the Brazilian international Arthur on loan from Juventus.
