Manchester United Stock rose to 5.8% in New York closing at $18.29 after the announcement of the acquisition of Portuguese international star of legendary status Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United was to lose the star player from Manchester City but City backed down on the Ronaldo deal.
Ronaldo is returning to the Red Devils after more than a decade.
