TIGER WOODS INVOLVED IN A CAR CRASH | REMOVED BY "JAWS OF LIFE"

Tiger Woods has been taken to the hospital after a car accident in a residential neighborhood. He has sustained injuries that are moderate to critical.

His condition is stable after undergoing surgery after fracturing his right tibia and fibula as well as his shattered ankle.

Woods' injuries are classified as crush injuries. Crush injuries occur when massive pressure is exerted on a body part.

After he was extracted from his car he was rushed to a nearby medical facility, Habor-UCLA Medical Center, and that's where they operated on him.

Alex Villanueva from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Tiger was not under any influence and after the accident a 911 call came from a neighbor near the crash site.

The car rolled over on the border of Rolling Hills Estate and Rancho Palos Verdes, about 30 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
