Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng left his team camp in Qatar, where the FIFA Club World Cup is taking place, right after news of his ex girlfriends death was confirmed, Bayern coach Hansi Flick confirmed.
"Jerome came to my room and asked if he could go home. He will not be available to us until further notice," said Flick.
Polish-born Kesia Lenhardt was found dead in Berlin at age 25.
Kesia and Boateng dated for over a year before their online social media messy public break-up.
In her last social media post on Instagram she wrote "Now is where you draw the line. Enough"
Berlin's neighbourhood of Charlottenburg is where they found her body. The police say they suspect suicide.
