F1: ALFA ROMEO CAMING BACK TO F1 AINCE 1985


Alfa Romeo has partnered with the Swiss firm Sauber ready for a comeback into the sport since 1985...
It was Alfa Romeo who won the 1st & 2nd grand prix in 1950 & 1951 respectively. 

Giuseppe 'Nino' Farina and Juan Manuel Fangio were the drivers who drove the Alfa's to victory. 

Sauber and Ferrari are getting to be close friends as Alfa Romeo is Ferrari's 'sister' company.

Enzo Ferrari used to run Alfa Romeo cars before he split with them and ran his own cars.

Ferrari boss Sergio Marcheonne is also the boss of Alfa Romeo. 

Pascal Picci the bosa of Sauber said, "Alfa Romeo has a long history of success in grand prix racing, and we are very proud that this world renouned company has chosen to work with us for its return to the pinacle of motorsport. 

"Working closely with a car manufacturer is a great opportunity for the Sauber Group to further develop its technology amd engineering projects."
