Former LSU and Louisiana Tech wide receiver Devonta Lee has passed away at the age of 27 after a battle with cancer.
Lee’s mother, Lacresia Brown, confirmed her son’s passing.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and nine others are seen as early betting favorites to be the next head coach of the LSU football program.
Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers began the 2025 season with expectations to be in the college football playoffs and hopes of reaching the National Championship game. And after the first four weeks of the season, it seemed like they were headed toward achieving those goals. Then they lost three of their last four, including a 49-25 drubbing at the hands of Texas A&M this weekend.

BREAKING NEWS: LSU STAR JT LINDSEY SURRENDERS TO POLICE AFTER BEING ACCUSED OF ALLOWING MURDER SUSPECTS
LSU star JT Lindsey surrendered himself to police on Friday over allegations that he allowed two murder suspects to stay in his campus dorm.
Lindsey's attorney, Kris Perret, acknowledged that the suspects - Shemell Jacobs, 17, and Keldrick Jordan, 18 - stayed with his client, but said Lindsey had no idea that they were wanted for any crimes when he allowed them to stay with him beginning on July 24.
"At this time, we're cooperating with LSU PD. My client maintains that he's fully innocent of all charges and no wrongdoing,' Perret told reporters Friday. 'We hope to get this matter straightened out pretty quick, so that's about all we have to say at this point. We'll have more information for you later.'
The suspects had been wanted by the Alexandria (Louisiana) Police Department since mid-May in connection with the shooting death of Corey Brooks, 17, per multiple reports.
They were arrested by US Marshals on Monday in Lindsey's room.
"Alexandria, where the fatal shooting occurred, is Lindsey's hometown, and Lindsey went to high school with the two suspects.
Authorities allege that the extensive media coverage surrounding the murder and manhunt makes it 'highly unlikely that (Lindsey) would not have been aware of these media reports,' an affidavit obtained by Nola.com said.
The affidavit also stated that Lindsey was seen entering and exiting his dorm multiple times with the two men. They were also seen using his LSU ID card to enter the building on their own.
Lindsey was released on $5,000 bail on Friday, though he has been suspended from LSU's football team.

ANGEL REESE REUNION WITH FORMER LSU STAR IS WHAT WNBA FANS WANT
With the Chicago Sky owning the No. 10 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, fans are pushing heavily for the team to reunite Angel Reese and a former LSU Tigers teammate.
Hailey Van Lith, who played alongside Reese at LSU during the 2023-24 college basketball season, had a phenomenal year after transferring to the TCU Horned Frogs for the 2024-25 campaign. In fact, she even led the program to its first-ever Elite Eight appearance before falling to the Texas Longhorns on Monday.
Amid Van Lith's incredible run in the NCAA Tournament, there had been plenty of discussions about her WNBA future. Her draft stock has certainly increased with her big year at TCU, with mock drafts even projecting her to get selected in the first round.
That being said, an LSU reunion with Reese with the Sky isn't a far-fetched idea, and several fans expressed their desire to make it happen.
On Reddit, a user shared a post on the WNBA franchise's subreddit envisioning Chicago selecting Van Lith, writing, "Hailey Van Lith to the Sky?!"
Sure enough, the comment drew a number of reactions supporting the idea.

"That would be fire her and angel Reese," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Hopefully. Either her or Lucy Olsen."
A fan added, "It would be a good pick up for them."
"Yes she bff with Angel," a supporter shared.
While some expressed doubt that the Sky would actually take Van Lith or would have the chance to do so, they still welcome the thought of her and Reese reuniting in Chicago.
"It doesn't fit the Sky's presumptive draft goals at all, so it feels really unlikely. But sure, I'd love to see it," another Reddit user stated.
A sixth poster wrote, "To me it really depends who's on the boards if you talking about 10 and if you talking 16 if she's there for sure, I feel if we still had Tpoon I would say No because she wouldn't have fit that offense but I if Tyler offense do have a little Becky in then she wouldn't fit his offense but I'll feel you can't go wrong with either Amoore, HVL, or Sundell no matter the pick spot, I think they got to get 1 of them."
For what it's worth, Bleacher Report previously predicted that the Sky would be able to land Hailey Van Lith with the No. 10 pick. However, a recent mock draft by ESPN saw HVL moving up the draft board and going No. 9.
With projected No. 2 pick Olivia Miles' decision to return for another year of college as well, there are movements expected to happen in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Obviously, it could end up beneficial for Van Lith.
It remains to be seen which team will take Van Lith in the draft, but there's no denying that plenty of eyes will be on the star guard as she takes the next step in her career.

By Reuters
Angel Reese of LSU said Wednesday she is declaring for the WNBA draft.
Reese announced her decision to Vogue magazine in an interview and via a social media post.
She's expected to be a top-10 pick in the April 15 draft.
"I've done everything I wanted to in college," Reese said. "I've won a national championship, I've gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I've been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro -- and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I'm ready."
Reese made the comments to Vogue in mid-March for the story published Wednesday.
Her announcement comes two days after LSU was eliminated from the women's NCAA Tournament in a loss to Iowa and Caitlin Clark, who already declared for the WNBA draft. The Indiana Fever are expected to select Clark with the No. 1 overall pick.
Reese scored 17 points and pulled down 20 rebounds but the Tigers lost to the Hawkeyes in the Elite Eight game, 94-87, in Albany, N.Y., on Monday.
Reese leaves after four collegiate seasons and 2,162 points scored at Maryland (2020-22) and LSU. Reese led LSU to the 2022-23 NCAA title.
She had a year of eligibiity remaining.
The 6-foot-3 Reese averaged 18.6 points and 12.3 rebounds in 116 career games (104 starts).
