GRANADA-ATHLETIC CLUB LALIGA MATCH SUSPENDED AFTER FAN DEATH

The LaLiga fixture between Granada and Athletic Bilbao was suspended on Sunday after the death of a fan inside the stadium.

The game had kicked off as planned but was halted early in the first half, with local media later confirming a 64-year-old Granada supporter had passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest.

LaLiga have since announced that the match will restart on Monday from the 17th minute, with Athletic leading 1-0 thanks to an early strike from Iñaki Williams.

"Granada vs. Athletic Bilbao was suspended following the tragic death of a fan at the Estadio Nuevo los CĂĄrmenes," the league said.

"Our condolences go out to their family and friends, as well as to all Granada fans.

"At the request of LaLiga, the RFEF competition judge has ruled that the fixture will resume on Dec. 11 at 9pm. The match will restart from the 17th minute."

GRANADA'S ZARAGOZA TO JOIN BAYERN ON FIVE-YEAR DEAL - CLUB

Granada winger and Spain international Bryan Zaragoza will join Bayern Munich next season on a five-year contract after an agreement between the clubs, the German champions said on Wednesday.

The arrival of the versatile 22-year-old, who will sign a deal to 2029, will boost their options in attack next season, the club said.

"Bryan Zaragoza is an explosive, very quick and extremely nimble winger, who can play on either side," Christoph Freund, Bayern sporting director, said in a statement.

"He's unpredictable, can score and is very good one-on-one. He'll increase our attacking options. We wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season with Granada and look forward to him joining us in the summer."

Zaragoza has scored 10 times and provided three assists in 51 competitive matches for Granada and made his Spain debut in October in a 2-0 win over Scotland in a Euro 2024 qualifier.

FÉLIX GIVES ATLETICO MADRID FANS ANOTHER REASON NOT TO LIKE HIM BY SCORING WINNER FOE BARCELONA

MADRID (AP) — JoĂŁo FĂ©lix has given Atletico Madrid fans even more reason not to like him.

Playing on loan from Atletico after falling out with the club last season — and highly unlikely to return — Felix scored with a neat shot over goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the 28th minute to give Barcelona a 1-0 home victory on Sunday and move the Catalan team closer to the top of the Spanish league standings.

“It was a relief after everything that I went through last summer,” said FĂ©lix, who was still with Atletico when he upset fans by saying his dream was to play for Barcelona. “Only those close to me know what it was like, especially my family. This was for them.”

The victory put Barcelona back within four points of leaders Girona and Real Madrid, which won their matches on Saturday. Madrid beat Granada 2-0 and Girona defeated Valencia 2-1.

Atletico, winless in its last 18 away matches against Barcelona in the league, dropped to fourth place, three points behind Barcelona in third but with a game in hand.

It was the fourth win in four matches between Barcelona's coach Xavi HernĂĄndez and Atletico's Diego Simeone.
