NBA FINALS: DENVER NUGGETS' CHAMPIONSHIP RUN BY THE NUMBERS
The Denver Nuggets are NBA champions for the first time in the 47-year history of the franchise. After beating the Miami Heat, 94-89, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday, the Nuggets hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy and began their celebration after a dominant performance. Nikola Jokic was awarded Finals MVP after averaging 30.2 points, 14 rebounds and 7.2 assists over the series. After years of injury-riddled seasons to key players and disappointing playoff losses the Nuggets have finally reached the mountaintop.

The Denver Nuggets beat the Miami Heat 94-89 on Monday to bring a first NBA title to Mile High City, with Serbian big man Nikola Jokic scoring 28 points and being named the Most Valuable Player of the Finals.
With a raucous capacity crowd packed into Ball Arena ready to celebrate, the Nuggets ended a 47-year championship wait by taking the best-of-seven series 4-1.
Once again the Nuggets were led by Jokic, who hit for a double-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds to cap a dominating postseason performance.

NIKOLA JOKIC MAKES NBA FINALS HISTORY IN DENVER NUGGETS'

(CNN) - It seems like every night Nikola Jokić is making history, and Game 3 of the NBA Finals was just another day at the office for the record-breaking Denver Nuggets star.
In the Nuggets’ 109-94 road win against the Miami Heat, Jokić became the first ever player to record a 30-20-10 stat line in the NBA Finals. But for the Joker, this was business as usual.
“I don’t care. It’s just a stat,” the Serbian said of his accomplishment after finishing the game with 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Not only did Jokić make individual history, but alongside Jamal Murray, the duo became the first teammates to both drop triple-doubles in an NBA Finals game. Murray recorded 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as the guard torched the Heat from start to finish.

NBA FINALS: 'AIR CORGI' PICKS DENVER NUGGETS OVER MIAMI HEAT
The Miami Heat aren't the only underdog to take over the NBA playoffs.
Lilo Ku, an 8-year-old corgi, has taken the internet by storm with her viral playoff predictions.
Nicknamed Air Corgi, Steph Furry and Fluffy Mamba, she has made waves for her ability to shoot an inflatable basketball into buckets that represent playoff matchups.
