In 1953 Sean Connery 23 years old signed for Manchester United. He was offered a good weekly pay but he knew that a footballer's career would end at 30. He decanted for acting and a year later would debut in the cinema with the film "Lilacs in the Spring" in 1954 starring Errol Flynn.
