NELSON PIQUET IS *RACIST AND HOMOPHOBIC* | CHARGED IN BRAZIL

Nelson Piquet has been charged and ordered to pay a huge fine for his racist and homophobic words directed to the only black F1 driver, Sir Lewis Hamilton, in two separate interviews.

The comments came after an incident that involved Max Verstappen and Sir Lewis Hamilton in 2021.

In another interview that surfaced, Piquet used racist and homophobic words on Hamilton after Hamilton missed out the 2016 Championship to Nico Rosburg.

Verstappen is dating Piquet’s daughter whereby now the world knows that Kelly Piquet has a “racist and homophobic” father. 

Very sad and unfortunate in these recent times whereby every effort is geared towards harmony and respect in sports around the world. 

The sports governing body, FIA, and Mercedes-Benz condemned Piquets comments. 

Four human rights groups, including Brazil’s National LGBT+ Alliance, wanted Piquet to pay 10 million Brazilian Reals. 

A Brazilian court ordered Piquet to pay 5 million Brazilian Reals ($953,000).
