Didier Deschamps has extended his stay with the French Squad head coach until 2026.
In July, 2012, is when his started his reign with Le Bleus of which he led the French Squad to a World Cup 2018 title.
In the Qatar World Cup he took his side to the final only losing to Argentina in a 4-2 penalty shootout after regular time ended 3-3.
"In Qatar, we almost achieved what we wanted to do, winning the World Cup. There were a lot of positives to take," Deschamps said on Saturday.
"Coming back to France, I realised how much emotion and passion a World Cup can generate," Deschamps continued.
"We had a lot of support You can count on me to keep France in the highest level."
Deschamps record in France is that in 139 matches, France has won 89, drawn 28 and lost 22, scoring 279 goals and conceding 119.
Coach Michel Hidalgo was the longest serving French head coach. He served from March 1976 to June 1984.
Deschamps now will be the longest serving French coach in history.
