Sir Lewis Hamilton has been named honorary citizen in Brazil.
Brazin held a vote on the issue and it Hamilton won.
Andre Figueiredo, a Congress man, was behind the idea after Hamilton won the Brazilian Grand Prix last year.
Hilton unfurled the Brazilian flag at the podium after winning reminiscent in Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna iconic flag wave in 1991.
The Brazil lower house passed the bill on Thursday and the house will hold a solemn session to deliver the citizenship to Hamilton.
Hamilton says he would be honored to receive an honorary citizenship from his idol's country.
The late Senna has been an inspiration to Hamilton throughout his career. It is a true honor bestowed upon Hamilton.
