SOCCER LEGEND PELÉ HOSPITALIZED IN BRAZIL

Soccer legend and three-time World Cup winner Pelé has been hospitalised and is undergoing colon tumour treatment at São Paulo Albert Einstein’s hospital.

Pelé, who is 81 years of age, underwent a colon tumour removal procedure in September 2021 after it was found during a routine medical checkup.

He is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at the hospital.

On his Instagram page, by then, he wrote “when the path is difficult, celebrate each step of the journey”.

“Focus on your happiness. It’s true that I can’t jump anymore, but these past few days, I’ve been punching the air more that usual.

“Thanks also to all of you, from afar, make my life complete with so many messages of love.”
