Russian Grand Prix third practice has been cancelled due to heavy rains in Sochi.
Doubt over Qualifying session today is also a lingering issue.
FP3 had been scheduled to start at 1200 local time but lightening and thunder in Sochi made F1 organisers to cancel the third practice.
"In the interest of safety, [the decision has been taken] to modify the Official Program by cancelling Free Practice session," said the decision from the Stewards.
"For the purpose of the regulations and associated time, Free Practice Session 3 will be considered as having taken place, except where otherwise advised by the Race Director.
At just before 13000 local time in Sochi, the FIA announced that the track will be closed before F1 qualifying, meaning the second F3 race of the weekend has been moved to Sunday morning.
