NELSON MANDELA TRAINING | BOXING 🥊|

"In 1958, while facing increasing state repression and underground political organizing, Nelson Mandela took up boxing training as both a physical discipline and a mental refuge. Though he never sparred full-contact, he adhered to a strict regimen of skipping rope, running, and shadowboxing. In his autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom, Mandela later reflected that boxing taught him values of patience, endurance, and strategic thinking—qualities that would sustain him through 27 years of imprisonment. He saw the ring as a metaphor for political struggle: 'In the ring, rank, age, color, and wealth are irrelevant.'"
