JAKARTA: Indonesian fast bowler Gide Priandana has set a new record in the history of cricket.
Gide Priandana became the first player to take 5 wickets in an over in T20 International cricket.
He achieved this historic feat in the first T20 International against Cambodia.
The 28-year-old right-arm fast bowler bowled brilliantly against Cambodia, destroying the middle and lower order.
He completed a brilliant hat-trick by taking 3 consecutive wickets in the first 3 balls of the over.
After a dot ball, he also dismissed Mong Dara Sok and Pelwank.
In this match, Indonesia scored 167 runs while batting first, and the Cambodian team was bundled out for 107 runs.
Earlier, the feat of taking 5 wickets in an over in domestic men’s T20 cricket has been achieved twice before; however, this honor has been achieved for the first time at the international level by Gide Priyandana.
