Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy has left France’s training camp with muscle fatigue on his shin, according to several reports. Lucas Digne will replace Mendy in France’s squad list.

However, reports from the Spanish press indicate that Mendy’s injury isn’t serious and the defender should be available when Real Madrid visit Real Sociedad in two weeks. His presence in the starting lineup will be extremely important considering that Real Sociedad have dangerous offensive players.

Mendy will now return to Madrid, where he will recover from this small injury trying to get ready for that match against Real Sociedad. The coaching staff will likely take a cautious approach during his recovery, but it’s good news that this muscle fatigue didn’t turn into anything more serious.
