GHANAIAN INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN ATSU PULLED FROM RUBBLE ALIVE IN TURKEY AFTER 7.8 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE


Ex-Chelsea player Christian Atsu has been rescued in Turkey after a devastating earthquake of 7.8 magnitude.

Former Chelsea and Newcastle forward Atsu, who was believed to be missing after the quake, was rescued and hospitalised. 

Atsu plays for Turkish side Hatayspor and it believed that other players also suffered the same fate. 

The clubs sporting director is still reported to be trapped in the rubble.

Atsu, who also hails from Ghana, was also confirmed by Ghana Football Association that he is undergoing treatment.

It is believed more than 5000 people have died after the massive quake struck during the night.

The international community is assisting in rescue and recovery in Turkey and Syria.
