BUCCANEERS QUARTERBACK BLAINE GABBERT HELPED RESCUE FAMILY FROM A HELICOPTER CRASH VIA JET SKI

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback  Blaine Gabbert helped his family in distress after their helicopter lamd crashed in water on Thursday.

Gabbert and his two brothers, Tyler and Brett, were jet skiing in Hillsborough Bay, in Florida.

They heard a "faint noise", he said "we turned around... and I just remember looking to the west and seeing - it almost looked like crew boat that had broken up in the water into about four pieces - and I vaguely remember seeing like two yellow lifejackets".

Once he reached the crash site he expected "worst case scenario."

Tampa Bay police said that the helicopter was making its way back to Peter O. Knight Airport when the pilot alleged heard a loud bang then lost power.

The pilot conducted an emergency landing procedure into the water about 300 feet from the airport's beach. 

The helicopter crash landed near Davis Yacht Club and all the occupants ended up in water, the police said.
